We need your help! Since COVID-19 started, we have been helping more animals than ever. While this is wonderful for the animals in our community, we have taken a substantial financial hit in this process. We are completely donation based so we legitimately can NOT do what we do without YOU! Any amount helps us continue to do the work we do to better the lives of the animals in our care and community. If you are able to help please click the donation button below to help us help them!

About Us
The Humane Society of Freeborn County is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization.
We are dedicated to providing the means for the prevention of cruelty to animals, to enforcing all laws designated for the protection of animals, to promoting responsible pet ownership, and to placing all adoptable animals into responsible homes.
Together we can control overpopulation in our community with the education and assistance programs we provide.
Adopting is one of the best things you can do.
When you adopt, you’re not just giving an animal a home. You’re also reducing the demand for breeding operations that put profit before animal welfare.
Adoption saves lives.
Our adoption goal:
To find the most suitable, permanent
home for any animal in our care.
Find your new best friend today.
